Songs for celebration

Here's one of the things that some couples ponder about when preparing for their wedding: should we leave the music to chance? Not that I can lay any claim to be any sort of expert where wedding music is concerned, but I thought I might just share some of my favourite music that I find suitable for weddings.

The march in song actually sets the mood and ambience of the wedding celebration. Some couples who are full of spunk and fun have opted for really fun sounding tunes that really liven up the atmosphere. There are also those prefer want a romantic atmosphere as they walk down the aisle, leaving their closest friends and family touched and teary eyed. Thus, the march in song plays an extremely crucial role here.

For those who really love Pachebel Kanon, but somehow feel the 'usual' version is a little common, here're some variations you might wanna check out:

The Ultimate David Lanz Narada Collection: Variations on a Theme From Pachelbel's Canon in D Major
George Winston - December: Variations on the Kanon by Pachelbel

Remember the catchy M1 advert jingle? Katrina & The Waves' Walking On Sunshine is fun and cheery for those who want it different.

Want it to be both romantic and cheerful? Here's my personal fav song of all time: "Over the Rainbow/What a Wonderful World by Israel "Iz" Kamakwiwo'ole. You can find it in Finding Forrester soundtrack. Nat King Cole's L-O-V-E can also do the trick pretty well.

Wearing 'red' during your 2nd march-in? Well it might not be really creative to suggest this, but Chris de Burgh's 'Lady in Red' would really help you mesmerize the crowds.

Oh yes, this recommendation is not really for march in, but I think Eric Clapton's Wonderful Tonight is absolutely fantastic for the lovebirds' first dance. Need more than one? Try 'Turn Me On' by Norah Jones. There are also various versions of "Can't help falling in love". I personally find the one by Michael Buble very suitable for the first dance.

Want something wild and fun for the party? Don't forget Hot Chocolate's You Sexy Thing.

Geez, I can't believe this post takes 2 weeks to compile. I hope it's useful to you lovebirds out there. Have lots of fun on your wedding. Yes, weddings can be fun. ;)

Kids

Kids are like litte sunflowers. Their cheery demeanor light up every weddings. They help to break silences, create topics for conversation, do silly stuff to get the guests to break away into laughter, and generally charm the grownups around them, serving as an inconspicuous symbol of the joy of the wedding celebrations. They are absolutely marvellous for the keen eye of the photographer, and add a soft touch of beauty to the wedding album, not very unlike baby's breaths' lovely kisses to the roses.
